Kebun Iskul – A Project With Community At Heart

Written by

in

In 2020, Iskul launched a garden program by planting okra, chilli, onion, lemongrass and many other types of plants. The garden aims to provide exposure and education about agriculture to Iskul students and the island community and to reduce the population’s dependence on marine products.

Next we focused on trying out which fruits and vegetables are suitable to plant for the community on the sea. Many things need to be considered such as space, water sources, seeds and types of trees, rat infestations and others.
