Iskul utilized grant funds by Yayasan Hasanah to install water tanks for 30 stateless households in Omadal to help them save costs and improve their hygiene. With the water tanks, Omadal households need not buy water as frequently. If it rains heavily twice a week, they don’t need to buy water at all, thereby saving the families about RM2-RM6 a week from buying clean water. The improved water access also improved their daily hygiene as the participants reported that their children get to bathe daily now, instead of 2 to 3 times a week previously.
